A large crane caught fire near the Walt Whitman Bridge in Gloucester City Tuesday morning, May 21.

The fire occurred on an industrial crane near a ship at the Gloucester City Terminal on 160 Essex Street at about 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, according to nbcphiladelphia.com.

An unconfirmed report said that smoke had caused the closure of the westbound lanes of the bridge.

There were no reports of any injuries.
